- Marker display: Squad pings no longer show distance in meters. You still see the icon and the sender’s name.
- Cooldown: If you try to place a ping while it is still on cooldown, a brief on-screen notice appears so you know the action is temporarily blocked.

Squad markers / pings
- When you place a marker, your character briefly points instead of the marker appearing instantly.
- There’s a short no-shoot window while placing, so it feels deliberate and avoids double triggers.
- The marker is placed after a short delay, so it lines up better with the full pointing pose.
- A cooldown after a ping reduces accidental spam.
- Aiming near your own marker still removes it quickly, without the full point animation.
Radio / voice
- Placing a ping plays the familiar “show location” radio line from the base game.
- In multiplayer, nearby players can hear that radio call when the scenario supports it (similar to other in-world radio barks).
