Display Character Stance
Small HUD icon near the weapon info panel that shows stand, crouch, or prone, with fade-in while lowered and a brief stand confirmation after you rise.
Overview
Workshop dependency: this mod requires REA Core (unlisted on Workshop; subscribe via this mod’s dependency list or your preset tools).
Display Character Stance adds a stance icon to your HUD: stand, crouch, or prone. It is meant as a readability aid—for example when you want an at-a-glance cue without staring at the character model.
Behaviour
- Crouch / prone: the icon fades in and stays visible while you remain lowered.
- Stand up: after leaving crouch or prone, the icon briefly shows stand, holds for a short period, then fades out so the HUD stays clean while you move upright.
- Position: the widget tracks the vanilla weapon info panel (
m_WeaponInfoPanel) and sits just above it, right-aligned. If that panel is missing or hidden (e.g. unarmed), the icon falls back to the bottom-right with a small margin. - Pause / ESC menu: the stance HUD hides while the pause menu is open, consistent with how other HUD elements behave.
Settings
- Toggle Show character stance under Settings → Mods → REA (registered by REA Core), using the same built-in user settings path as vanilla so options work on PC and console. The mod reloads preferences periodically, so changes can apply without restarting the game.
