When you're unconscious with no rescue in sight, hold to confirm and respawn instead of waiting on a black screen.

Overview

Force Give Up adds a hold-to-confirm path while you are unconscious: finish the hold to give up / respawn on your client instead of waiting indefinitely when no revive is coming.

How it works (high level)

  • Only the local controlled character runs the logic; being conscious cancels progress immediately.
  • Hold progress is exposed to UI via a simple progress callback so the blackout screen can show how far along you are. Default hold length is configurable on the component (commonly on the order of 10 seconds out of the box).
  • Default bindings are wired like a normal action (e.g. keyboard / gamepad hold); check Controls for the exact keys on your layout.
